i9 Sports Franchise
i9 Sports is a franchise providing fitness programs through youth sports leagues, clinics, and camps. It was founded in 2002 and started franchising in 2003.
The founder, Frank Fiume, ran a family business in New York and Florida which established successful leagues. From this, he was able to create i9 Sports and managed to combine camps with sports leagues. From that time, they have now opened about 130 locations and they have over 400,000 members all over the United States.
They are scheduled to open their 200th location in 2012. Their rapid growth and leadership has been recognized b y big companies such as CNN, Fox Business News, HBP Real Sports, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and ESPN Radio. Just in 2011, they were awarded as the number one child fitness franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine.
What sports do they offer at i9 Sports?
Some of the sports that they offer include basketball, flag football, cheerleading, soccer, baseball or softball, lacrosse, volleyball, golf, and hockey. These sports are offered as part of leagues, camps, tournaments, after school program, or clinics. These sports may also vary on availability depending on the location.
They cater these sports for boys and girls aged about four to 14 years old. It does not matter what skill level your child has because they have the sports in all levels. Your child no longer have to go through any drafts or tryouts and sometimes their age limit go as young as three years old and as old as 17 years old. The age range depends on the location.
What makes i9 Sports different from other sports leagues?
They do not do fundraisers of any kind. No mandatory volunteering, drafts, or tryouts which means everyone gets to play in every game.
